Have you thought about where you would like to study? For instance, if you intend going to university, you may wish to think about the following factors:

  • type: what kind of university do you want to go to? Traditional? New university?
  • location: would you prefer to go to a university in a city or a small town? How easy is it to find part-time work?
  • size and facilities: do you want to go to a large or small university? Are sports and social activities important to you?
  • standards of entry: how difficult is it to obtain a place on the course you wish to study?
  • accommodation: does the university have halls of residence or approved accommodation? Are these in close proximity to the campus? How much does accommodation cost? Is it maintained to a reasonable standard?
